Generally, freshmen live in the University’s Freshman Centers. These centers, or residence halls, have layouts that maximize opportunities for student interaction. Freshman Centers typically feature double rooms and one central bathroom on each floor. Classrooms and study rooms are available in all residence hall areas and they have a higher concentration of RMs to assist students academically and personally. All Freshman Center rooms are air-conditioned and offer phone and cable television outlets and data connections that are networked to the University mainframe with access to the Internet. Computer labs with IBM-compatible terminals are located in each Freshman Center area. The labs are networked, have access to the Web, and have laser printers available. Other conveniences include vending and ice machines and laundry rooms. Cafeterias are located in some Freshman Centers, including two that feature all-you-can-eat options. Other dining facilities are nearby.
