Move Out Recycling – Give It Up Program

Every spring when you move out of the residence halls, you usually have a lot of material that you no longer need or just will not fit in your car. Instead of throwing it out where it would end up in a landfill, University Housing supports the Give It Up program in cooperation with Campus Facilities, Student Government and various student organizations.
Instead of throwing away your unneeded clothing, shoes, food, toiletries and appliances – donate them. Local organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Sistercare, Harvest Hope, Salvation Army and more benefit from your effort. The program makes it just as easy and sometimes easier to recycle these materials at collection points on most floors and all lobbies.
