Sophomore September
Sophomore September is a month long program dedicated to helping second-year students adjust to their second year at USC and feel welcomed and connected. Sophomore September will consist of six events that involve food, fun, prizes, and sharing of resources and discussion key to the second year at Carolina. Events are designed for second-year students at USC but are open to all students. Students who attend five events will win a free t-shirt. Students who attend all six events will win a t-shirt and another great prize! Only sophomore students are eligible to win prizes.
How?
Sophomore students can get a Sophomore September passport at any of the first three events. Pick up a passport and have it signed by a member of the OSE staff at each event. For the study abroad fair and the CareerFest there are special instructions for getting attendance, please see below.

- Welcome Back Carnival
Tuesday, August 28th 11am-3pm, Greene Street (Postponed because of rain, rescheduled for Monday, September 10th 11am-3pm. Greene Street. Coinciding with Sophomore Cool Down.) - Study Abroad Fair
Friday, September 7th, Russell House University Union Be sure to stop by the OSE table outside of the Russell House Ballroom after you have attended the fair to get your passport stamped! Please bring a flyer or pamphlet from the fair with you. - Sophomore Cool Down
Tuesday, September 10th 11am-3pm, Greene Street - Career Fest
Wednesday, September 19th, Columbia Convention Center Please bring proof of attendance to the OSE office when turning in the passport at the end of the Sophomore September program - Major and Information Fair
Tuesday, September 25th, 11am- 2:30pm, Russell House Ballroom - Mutual Expectations Workshop with Academic Advisors
Thursday, September 27th 12:30-1:45pm, Russell House Ballroom An RSVP is required for this specific event:
Bring completed passports to the Office of Student Engagement in Patterson Hall by Friday, October 12th to collect prize(s).
