Student Success Center: Peer Writing Tutors

The Peer Writing Program at the Student Success Center seeks to strengthen college-level writing in a variety of academic disciplines by providing quality, course-specific academic support to University of South Carolina undergraduate students at no cost. Peer Writing appointments develop fundamental analysis strategies that are essential for academic success, and sessions are tailored to meet undergraduate students' individual questions and needs. Peer Writing Tutors are undergraduate students who have demonstrated strong writing skills, been referred by USC Faculty Members, and have been trained to facilitate discussions on academic writing and positive academic habits. The Peer Writing Program seeks to foster independent learning by engaging students in the learning opportunities that exist within the writing process.
