EMPOWER Peer Educators
EMPOWER is a social justice and diversity education program that educates, inspires and encourages Carolinians to become active and informed individuals who develop an appreciation for multicultural ideals
Year-round; applications available Spring 2014 semester to become a Diversity Peer Educator
- Must attend EMPOWER meetings and/or Diversity Dialogues.
- Completion of application.
- Undergraduate: 2.5 GPA; full-time student
- Graduate: 3.0 GPA
Spring training following acceptance: 3-5 hours mid-to-late April; 2 hour Fall refresher training during Welcome Week. Diversity Peer Educator In Training Program is on-going; join by attending EMPOWER meetings.
Meetings are the every other Monday at 5:30 in RH 302 with Diversity Peer Educators trainings on the opposing Mondays
2-3 hours/week with office hours, presentations and meetings
