EMPOWER Peer Educators
Diversity Peer Educators are a group of students committed to creating a more inclusive Carolina through education, inspiration and encouragement. We are Carolinians who have elected to be active and informed individuals who develop an appreciation for multicultural ideals and help guide other Carolinians to learn about these ideas as well.
Applications available Spring 2015 semester to become a Diversity Peer Educator
- Must attend both the Spring and Fall teaching workshop
- Completion of application.
- Undergraduate: 2.5 GPA; full-time student
- Be willing to give at least three workshops in classroom
Spring training following acceptance: 3-5 hours mid-to-late April; 2 hour Fall refresher training during Welcome Week. Diversity Peer Educator In Training Program is on-going; join by attending EMPOWER meetings; every other Monday at 5:30 in Russell House 302, all are welcome.
2-3 hours/week with office hours, presentations and meetings
