Cross College Advising Peers
Assist students in identifying majors and fields of study pertinent to the student’s interest by discussing interests and involvement opportunities. Peer Advisors conduct the student’s initial exploratory 20 minute appointment when using CCA services.
All applicants must be a continuing student enrolled full time at the University of South Carolina- Columbia, and be in good academic and financial standing. Furthermore, all Peer Advisors must have completed at least 30 credits of USC coursework by the end of the current semester, and hold a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. All students must be able to work ten hours per week, and be available to participate for the entire academic semester.
Week before classes begin, biweekly staff meetings, and weekly on-going training Cohort meeting
Staff Meeting: Every other Friday, 4-5pm; Cohort meeting: Varies depending on the student’s availability
