Capstone Scholar Ambassadors

Description:
Rising sophomore to senior Capstone Scholars who are enthusiastic about the program and want to give back to a group of incoming first-year Scholars through multiple mentoring opportunities. Ambassadors are paired by major and plan two events per month for their assigned students as well as meet with students in small group or individual settings.
Recruitment:
Late March/Early April 2014
Qualifications:
Must be a Capstone Scholar who has been involved at the university and within the Capstone Scholars Program and will serve as a good role model to first year Capstone Scholars; preferably with a 3.0 or above, and prefer a commitment for the entire year.

Class Qualifications:
Rising Sophomores – Rising Seniors

Class Requirements:
None
Training:
Half Day Trainings at the end of April; 4 monthly hour-long meetings through each semester.
Meetings:
One Tuesday per month at 8PM
Time Commitment:
5-10 hours per month as you work with your ambassador partner to plan social and educational events for your group.
