Peer leadership is a wonderful opportunity for students to serve fellow students, represent the University, and develop valuable life and career skills. According to research conducted at USC about the benefits of peer leadership, students who engage in peer leadership positions feel more connected to the University, have greater knowledge of resources on campus, report that they feel more responsible for modeling appropriate behavior, report stronger commitment to their academics and appreciation of faculty, and would recommend peer leadership to other students (USC Peer Leadership Survey 2008 and 2009).
Please consider nominating a worthy student for one of the many peer leadership positions on campus by completing the short form below. For information on each peer leadership position on campus, just click on the name in the garnet and black nomination box below.
Students who are nominated are under no obligation to accept an invitation to apply. But without your nomination, we might miss a future great leader. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration and please direct any questions to the Office of Student Engagement at saose@mailbox.sc.edu
