Through coordinating the Peer Leader Advisor/Supervisor Network (PLAN) the Office of Student Engagement endeavors to promote, recognize, and help develop peer leaders through several venues.
Opportunity Knocks Part-Time Job Fair
Annually, the Career Center hosts a part-time job fair at the start of the fall semester. The Office of Student Engagement hosts a peer leader table at this fair to help promote all of the peer leadership opportunities on campus. Interested peer leader groups should let the Office of Student Engagement know over the summer if they would like to be represented at the table. Interested students should plan to stop by the table on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 10am-2pm in the RHUU ballroom.
Annual Peer Leader Recognition Evening
USC values the need to recognize peer leaders for the intentional and life-changing work that they do. Each fall the PLAN network hosts an evening event to recognize these peers and help them make connections with one another. The third annual peer leader recognition evening will be on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Invitations will be sent out in the fall and a RSVP is required.
Professional Development Series
PLAN also holds a series of professional development workshops for peer leaders. These series are focused to specifically benefit sophomores and peer leaders at USC. Please RSVP for the session if you plan to attend.
