Alternative Break Trip Leaders

Description:
Trip Leaders are integral to the success of the Alternative Break Program. Serving as an AB Trip Leader requires a twelve month involvement and a significant time commitment. All AB Trip Leaders are expected to be fully committed to training, trip logistics planning, participant selection, team facilitation, and local engagement, as well as post-trip activities to engage participants in reorientation.

Recruitment:
Recruitment for the Alternative Break Trip Leader position is on-going over the course of the academic year. However, interviews for the Trip Leader position occur during the month of April.

Qualifications:
Trip Leaders must have been a participant on a prior Alternative Break trip. Trip Leaders must be dedicated and excited about the Alternative Break mission and experience. Trip Leaders must be in good academic standing (2.0 or higher).

None

Training:
None

Meetings:
Trip Leaders meet bi-weekly over the course of the entire academic year.

Time Commitment:
On average, Trip Leaders dedicate 5 hours a week to planning, preparation, and meetings.
