Domestic Study Away
Domestic Study Away provides students with the opportunity to integrate their learning through study away from campus for more than four nights in the United States of America and its territories, as well as Canada (as a result of the National Student Exchange). Specifically this includes: 10 Canadian provinces (National Student Exchange), 50 states in the Union, the District of Columbia, and all territories as a part of the National Student Exchange (inhabited ones listed): Palmyra Atoll, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Midway Islands.
Domestic Study Away is a great option for USC students and can be a wonderful experience to compliment the international Study Abroad program. Students are not limited to participation in one or the other, but when planned correctly, can do both for a wide ranging and varied experience during their undergraduate years. Within the United States, there are a variety of cultural, structural, and environmental differences from which students can learn. A student does not have to cross an international border to get out of his or her comfort zone and learn valuable lessons.
