Assistant Director, North Campus

Dan joined the Residence Life professional staff in July 2012. Dan supervises South Tower which is comprised of 17 undergraduate staff members and over 400 residents. Dan received his undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. While at Sacred Heart, he worked with Residence Life for three years as a Resident Assistant and Office Assistant. In May 2012, Dan received his Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership specializing in Higher Education from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia. During his two year tenure at Lynchburg College, Dan worked as the Hall Director of Tate Hall, where he managed the day-to-day activities of a residence hall comprised of 350 first-year students. In between Dan's two years at Lynchburg College, he completed an internship at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, working with conference services.

Dan's professional interests include housing, campus wide programming, Greek life and Living Learning Community initiatives. His personal interests include exploring the wilderness, playing golf, watching baseball and playing with dogs.

Assistant Director of Residential Leadership

Tiffany joined the University Housing team in June 2016. Previously, Tiffany served as an Area Coordinator at the University of Virginia from May 2013 until May 2016. During her graduate studies at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, she served as a Residence Director for a hall of 420 first-year and upper-class students. Tiffany holds a Master of Science in Counseling: College Student Personnel from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania (Shippensburg, PA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Saint Joseph’s University (Philadelphia, PA). After graduating from college, Tiffany was selected as a Philly Fellow and embarked on a year-long service experience working with high-achieving, low-income Philadelphia public high school students on college access and affordability issues through Americorps*VISTA.

Tiffany’s professional interests include the recruitment, selection, training, and development processes of student leaders. In addition, she has completed graduate research on the lived experience of Multiracial students at Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs).

Tiffany is an avid reader and enjoys experiencing the arts, traveling, and trying out new cuisines!

Sherrigan Feaster has served the students of the University of South Carolina and University Housing for over six years. During this time, she has served as a Resident Advisor, Residence Life Coordinator and most recently Assistant Director for Residence Life.
Currently serving as an Assistant Director for Residence Life, Ms. Feaster is responsible for the leadership and supervision of area professional staff, graduate staff, budgets, facilities management and area offices, along with the alignment of all programs and services for the Central Campus area of University Housing. As the Assistant Director for Central Campus, she serves 1,800 students in six primarily first year residence halls.

Ms. Feaster has instructed freshman seminar courses for two years and has taught an Educational Leadership course to first year resident mentors for three years.

Professionally, Ms. Feaster has dedicated her time to working with first generation college students and finding successful strategies geared toward the development of these students. In addition, she currently serves as an "I. AM" mentor for African American students at the University of South Carolina, as well as an advisor for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Ms. Feaster has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina. She earned a Master's Degree in College Counseling and Student Development from Radford University.

Danny comes to USC after completing his Master’s degree in Student Affairs & Higher Education at Indiana State University. A Cincinnati native, Danny loves chili spaghetti and professional baseball, specifically the Cincinnati Reds and Boston Red Sox. Danny's passion areas are student leadership and living-learning communities.

Hilary Lichterman, Ph.D.
Associate Director, Residential Learning Initiatives

Hilary joined the USC family in July 2010. She previously worked at the University of Missouri-Columbia as a residence hall coordinator from 2004 to 2007 and as an area coordinator from 2007 to June 2010. Hilary earned her bachelor's degrees in Spanish for the Professions and Psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and her master's degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. During Summer 2003, Hilary served as an ACUHO-I intern in Accommodation Services at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.

As the Associate Director of Residential Learning Initiatives, Hilary provides vision and leadership to promote and foster student learning and academic success within our vibrant living and learning communities. She works collaboratively with academic, department and division colleagues.

Hilary's professional interests include learning communities and creative student learning opportunities, emergency preparedness, orientation, staff training and development and graduate preparation programs. Her personal interests include spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, cooking and reading.

James "Jimmy" McClellan
Residence Life Coordinator, Honors Residence

Joining the Gamecock family in June 2016, Jimmy serves the Honors Residence, where the majority of first-year Honors College students call "home". Prior to coming to the University of South Carolina, Jimmy worked as an elementary school educator in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City through Teach For America. It was during his time as a Teach For America Corps Member that he found his passion for education, specifically for working to empower all students, regardless of background, to create their own definition of success and chart paths toward their goals.

Jimmy obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL), a Master of Arts in Teaching from the Relay Graduate School of Education (New York, NY), and a Master of Arts in Education concentrating in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, VA). His personal interests include learning the history of places he has lived, hiking spots that have great views at the end, reading nonfiction, and trying new dessert spots.
