Sean McGreevey – Assistant Director Resident Student Learning
K. Sean McGreevey hails from Houston Texas and is a '97 graduate of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He went on to achieve his Master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. After concluding his studies, he worked for his national fraternity, Phi Sigma Kappa, for two years in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has advised the PSK chapter at Carolina for six years.
Sean has roots in South Carolina, his family is from Hartsville. In the first three years at the University of South Carolina, he was a hall director in the Towers. He served as the Assistant Director for Residence Education since July of 2004 and transitioned to the role of Assistant Director for Resident Student Learning in July of 2007.
Currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Sean hopes to achieve his doctorate by December of 2008. His research interests include diversity, student learning and experiential education. Sean is an avid outdoorsman enjoying whitewater kayaking, backpacking, and hunting. Thurmond Bell – Administrative Assistant

Carmen Gass – Coordinator for Resident Student Learning – Living Learning Communities
Carmen Gass has served the students of the University of South Carolina for five years. During this time, she has served as the Evening Service Office Coordinator, Coordinator of Student Services and most recently Coordinator for Resident Student Learning – Living Learning Communities.
Currently serving as the Coordinator for Resident Student Learning – Living Learning Communities, Carmen is responsible for communication between University Housing and the academic sponsors of the Residential Living Learning Communities. Carmen supervises two graduate assistants and works with fourteen graduate students serving as liaisons between University Housing and the various academic sponsors of the university’s fifteen Residential Living Learning Communities..
Carmen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Studies and African & African American Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. She earned a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration/Student Development from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and a Master’s of Divinity/Academic Ministries from Columbia International University. Before coming to the University of South Carolina she worked at Columbia College as a Residence Hall Director.

Amy Kautz – Coordinator for Resident Student Learning – Training and Leadership
Amy Kautz has served students of the University of South Carolina and University Housing for three years. During this time, Ms. Kautz has supervised staff members in LaBorde and Douglas Halls (2004-2006) and Columbia Hall (2006 to 2007). As the Coordinator of Resident Student Learning, Leadership and Organization (2007 to present), Ms. Kautz is responsible for coordinating training for all levels of staff within Residence Life and advises executive officers with the Residence Hall Association (RHA). Each fall semester she teaches a section of University 101, a freshman seminar course and a section of the residence life student staff class for new staff members.
Ms. Kautz received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minored in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. She earned her Masters of Education in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia in Athens. While attending UGA she worked as a graduate student at The Georgia Institute of Technology in Greek Affairs.
Ms. Kautz served as the 2007 President of the South Carolina Housing Officers Association (SCHOA) and is a member of the Awards and Recognition Committee for the South Eastern Association of Housing Officers (SEAHO). Ms. Kautz can be reached at 777-7485 or aekautz@sc.edu |

Claire Robinson –Coordinator of Academic Success Initiatives
and Resident Student Learning
Originally from Delaware, Ohio, Claire Robinson earned her bachelors degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in Psychology and English. She then earned her masters degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina in May 2007, where she pursued an interest in academic support. Currently she is the Coordinator of Academic Success Initiatives and Resident Student Learning, working with the Academic Centers for Excellence (ACE). Originally from Union, Kentucky, Megan attended Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky and earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in Business Administration.
