Southeastern Student Conduct Institute

Please join us for the 2nd Southeastern Student Conduct Institute on June 16th at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.

This day long institute, hosted by the Office of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity, is for Housing and Conduct Administrators, Student of Concern Teams and Academic Integrity professionals.

  • Gain expertise on student centered conduct and academic integrity practices
  • Engage in enriching discussions with diverse colleagues on common university issues including mental health
  • Evaluate the application of established principles and best practices related to student behavior for individual campus needs

Bill FischerBill Fischer, JD Vice President for Student Development University of Dayton

Bill Fischer, JD Vice President for Student Development University of Dayton Bill Fischer currently serves as Vice President for Student Development at the University of Dayton, where he provides leadership and oversight for student development programs and services. Bill has had 15 years of experience in higher education with a focus on student conduct and conflict resolution systems, crisis and risk management, and law/policy issues in student affairs. He is an active member of the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA), having served on its Board of Directors in various capacities for approximately seven years. Bill is a Past President of ASCA and most recently won the Distinguished Service Award from the Association at the 2015 ASCA conference. Bill earned his B.A. from Villanova University and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.

The institute will feature concurrent sessions on topics including: Title IX, organizational sanctioning, behavioral intervention teams, faculty engagement and outreach and alcohol and sexual assault enterprise risk management. There will be opportunities for engagement through case studies, educational sessions and roundtable discussions.
