A conduct hearing is an information-gathering meeting. OSC most likely received your name from a police report; incident report from the residence halls; or a report was forwarded to us from a faculty member, staff member, or another student.
Students receive an e-mail, via their university e-mail address, notifying them of a meeting. If students have failed to attend their hearing or make contact with the office to reschedule the hearing, the conduct administrator can hear the case without the student being present. Conduct administrators would far prefer to have students present to discuss the incident, and as such this format is only used when students neglect to attend.
