Check your account on July 15 to find out your room number and roommate for the upcoming year. All residents are encouraged to email or call their roommates to begin getting to know each other as well as finding out what each other is bringing for your new room.

Official move-in day is Tuesday, August 22 from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. This is the date in which your University Housing contract begins with us and the date on which we base our residence hall rates.

Official move-in day check-in locations, unloading procedures and parking information is located in your Official "University Guide To Move-In" that is mailed in early July each year.

Oversized vehicles are not permitted and will not be allowed to enter the unloading perimeter.

University Housing recommends that you bring your own carts/dollies to transport items to and from your vehicle on move-in days.

University Housing will clean traditional style bathrooms daily and suite and apartment style bathrooms once per month. This is mandatory, so please ensure that your sink area is clear and items are put away during these times. Cleaning schedules will be available in your residence hall upon your arrival.

Personal Property and Liability Insurance is required for all students. University Housing requires that you have a minimum of $5,000 personal property insurance coverage for fire and water damage, theft and vandalism. In addition, if your negligence results in damage to the property of others or to the University, you may be held legally liable for all resulting damages. Therefore, University Housing also requires residents to have a $50,000 liability insurance policy. Before you start the process of personalizing your new room you will need to complete a room condition report. This report is a form that you will be given while checking into your building. Simply inspect your room for any pre-exsisting issues and return the form to the designated location in your residence hall. The next step is easy, simply follow the following guidelines for your room.

When you begin to personalize your room for the upcoming year, University Housing asks that you utilize push pins on walls that are dry wall and command strips on concrete to hang items on your walls. Tape, nails, screws and other items that will rip or damage the walls are highly discouraged and can lead to room damage fees.

To be more environmentally friendly, individual microwaves and mini-fridges are not allowed in University Housing residence halls. MicroFridge units are available for rent or purchase by visiting
