Single graduate students, students with families and non-traditional aged students are eligible to live in Family and Graduate Housing. The student must be enrolled full-time (9 hours for graduate students and 12 hours for undergraduate students) and continue to make normal progress toward a degree as determined by the dean of his/her college or school.

How to Apply

Students can apply for Family and Graduate Housing once they are admitted to the University. Applications can be submitted online on VIP and is available under the "Personal" tab. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee and $100 security deposit that is required before the application can be processed. Students can cancel their application on VIP without penalty before an assignment has been given. Only the $100 security deposit will be refunded.

Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Students have three business days to decline their assignment on VIP in order to receive a refund of the $100 security deposit. An assignment can be cancelled without penalty during the year for the following reasons:

  • Financial
  • Graduation

  • Off-campus Internship or Cooperative Assignment
  • Withdrawal from the University
