Univeristy Housing's Main Office is located in Patterson Hall (Garden Level). To access our offices, please use the entrance off of Bull Street in between Patterson Hall and South Tower. The following offices are located in Patterson Hall:

How to Get to Campus
I-20 West from Florence
Turn off at SC 277 (Exit 73A) toward Columbia. This freeway becomes Bull St. Follow Bull St. until it intersects with Pendleton St. and turn right. At the second stoplight, turn left onto Sumter St. The Horseshoe will be on your left. From here, you can get to any location on campus.
I-20 East from Augusta
Take Exit 58 (US 1 to West Columbia) and stay on this highway. It becomes Meeting St. and then becomes Gervais St. when you get downtown. After you pass the State House turn right on Sumter St. Go two blocks down and the Horseshoe will be on your left between Pendleton and Greene St. From here, you can get to any location on campus.
I-26 East from Spartanburg
Follow I-26 toward downtown Columbia (becomes I-126). Exit at Elmwood Ave, turn right off Elmwood onto Sumter St., and continue for 11 blocks. The Horseshoe will be on the left between Pendleton and Greene St. From here, you can get to any location on campus.
I-26 West from Charleston
Take the University exit, Exit 111-B (US 1). This highway turns into Meeting St., then Gervais St. when you get downtown. Turn right on Sumter St. and drive two blocks. The Horseshoe will be on your left between Pendleton and Greene St. From here, you can get to any location on campus.
I-77 South from Charlotte
Exit on SC 277 toward Columbia. 277 becomes Bull St. Follow Bull St. until it intersects with Pendleton St. and turn right. At the second stoplight, turn left onto Sumter Street. The Horseshoe will be on your immediate left. From here, you can get to any location on campus.
By Air
Airlines serving the Columbia Metropolitan Airport include American Eagle, Continental, Delta, United, USAirways and Vision Airlines. The airport is a 20-minute drive from the University campus. Transportation by taxi from the airport to campus is about $20. National rental car services at the airport include Alamo-National, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and Thrifty. City bus service from the airport to points near campus takes a little longer, but is less expensive. From the airport by car, turn right from the parking lot area, continue to the stoplight, and turn left onto Airport Blvd. (Route 302). Follow Route SC 302 to US 21 and 321. Bear left at the light and follow US 321 (which becomes Knox Abbott Dr., then Blossom St.) straight into Columbia. From the intersection of Assembly and Blossom St., you can get to any location on campus.
By Bus
The Greyhound Bus Lines station is near the intersection of Gervais and Harden St. within eight blocks of campus. From the station, turn right onto Gervais St., go about six blocks and turn left onto Sumter St. The Horseshoe will be on your left and from there you can get to any location on campus.
By Train
Amtrak also serves the Columbia area with a station on Pulaski St. in downtown Columbia.
