Academic Recovery Initiatives

In partnership with the Student Success Center, the office of Financial Aid, and various Academic
Advisors, ACE has several initiatives for students looking to raise their GPA.

For more information on ACE’s Academic Recovery Initiatives, please visit the Academic Recovery webpage

Pre-Advising

Prior to the advising period each semester, USC academic advisors from various departments hold informal pre-advising meetings in residence halls to answer students' questions about registering for classes, changing majors, and course requirements.

Pre-Advising is a great time for you to get answers to the questions you have (but might not know who to ask)!

For more information, on pre-advising, visit the Pre-Advising webpage.

Out-to-Lunch

The Out-to-Lunch Program is designed to promote faculty and student interaction outside the classroom. Students can invite any USC professor out to lunch on campus. University Housing and Sodexho Dining Services pay the cost of the faculty member’s meal and the students pay for their own meal with their meal plan. View sample questions to ask your professor!

Students can pick up an Out to Lunch ticket at any ACE office or in any University Housing area office and take their professor to lunch for free at a campus dining facility.
For more information on the Out-to-Lunch Program, visit the Out-to-Lunch webpage
