ACE Academic Success Coach Application

University of South Carolina Graduate Students:
Please complete this application to apply to become an ACE Academic Success Coach for Fall 2009-Spring 2010 school year in the University Housing’s Academic Centers for Excellence.

Applications for current USC graduate students interested in applying for an ACE Coach position for 2009-2010 - Deadline is May 1st, 2009.

Fall 2009 – Spring 2010 ACE Coach Commitments:

ACE Coaches are expected to commit to the following:

  • ACE Coaches will be expected to work between 6-10 hours per week (average of 8) in one of the four ACE offices on campus, coaching students in study skill development and academic success strategies.
  • ACE Coaches will meet every other week, twice per month, for an ACE team meeting. (Time determined convenient by all Coaches)
  • ACE Coaches will have individual projects related to Academic Success, research on study skills, and other academic support initiatives.
  • ACE Coaches will be expected to do a minimum of five academic success presentations in the Fall semester. (More as needed).
  • ACE Coaches will attend training in August.
  • ACE Coaches will participate in the Spring Academic Recovery Initiative.
  • ACE Coaches will help maintain ACE offices.

* Please note: This is a full year commitment. ACE Coaches should expect to work both semesters in Fall 2009-Spring 2010.
